Spend a day in Thailand right here in Melbourne and experience Sanook (fun) at our 12th annual Festival. The Thai Culture and Food Festival returns to Melbourne on Sunday 05th February all through Fed Square and River Terrace.  There are Thai traditional performances, Buddhist Ceremony, classical dance, cultural shows, cooking demonstrations to food stalls, products, massage, entertainment.  We’d love to have you witness our performances, stall holders, staff and volunteers say “Khob Khun“!!

Thai Food and Drink

Over 15 of Melbourne’s leading Thai Restaurants, Thai desserts and drink stalls and the Singha Beer garden and live acoustic music stage.

Thai food is unique and so so tasty. Here’s your chance to stroll along the River Terrace enjoying the aromas, sights, and taste of fantastic Thai food – it will be difficult to make a choice of just what to buy for your lunch to enjoy either in the Singha Beer garden or the grassed areas on the River Terrace. If you don’t have time to eat whilst at the Festival ask for a bio-degradable take away container and enjoy it at home later.

Here’s your chance to learn first hand how to cook amazing Thai Food with our GEM TV Celebrity Chef Mr. Duncan Robertson of Duncan’s Thai Kitchen and Vanilla Orchid Thai restaurant.

Come and join our Guest GEM TV chef Duncan Robertson as he shows you how to cook those special Thai dishes you have always enjoyed but were afraid to cook at home! Learn about the cooking techniques and the various ingredients needed to make Authentic Thai dishes – a speciality cuisine globally enjoyed.

  • Demonstrations every hour from 1pm till 5pm by Guest GEM TV Chef Duncan Robertson throughout the afternoon.

Thai Buddhist Activities

Participate in or simply watch the special Thai Buddhist ceremonies and talks.

Starting at 10am on the Main Stage at Federation 9 Thai monks from Thai temples in Melbourne and Warburton will perform a traditional Thai Buddhist ceremony .
