We are pleased to announce that Melbourne's 7th Annual Thai Culture and Food Festival will be held at Federation Square and the Riverside Terrace on Sunday 21 March 2010!!
The 2009 6th Annual Thai Culture and Food Festival at Federation Square on 22 March 2009 was bigger and better than ever!!
In addition to the fabulous choice of mouth watering Thai food; amazing cultural shows, Thai product stalls and the traditional Thai Beauty contest and Drum Parades the 2009 Festival featured:
Live performances by the amazing Thai International Dance Group Sbun-Nga direct from Thailand
An 8 round Muay Thai Kick Boxing competition sponsored by Isuzu Ute
2 SINGHA Beer Gardens - one featuring live music; the other for more relaxed dining
Interactive Thai Cooking demonstrations throughout the day.

Thanks to the thousands of visitors to this years Festival; to our sponsors and supporters;to our staging teams and to the hundreds of volunteers without whom the Festival could not have been staged.

- 20 Thai Restuarant Food and desert stalls
- 17 Performers direct from Thailand - the amazing Thai International Dance Group Sbun-Nga
- Live cultural shows on the Fed Square stage
- Thai Kick boxing - 8 round competition in the main square boxing ring sponsored by Isuzu Ute
- "Miss Thai Festival 2009" beauty contest throughout the day
- Singha Beer Gardens and live music sound stage on Riverside Terrace, including performances from Rebecca Jamison, Krista Polvere, BKK Whipper, Chrome Donuts, Frawning Clouds, Sure Shot Punter and more!
- Interactive Thai cooking demonstrations throughout the day on the Riverside Terrace
- Thai product stalls
- Buddhist ceremony

The 2009 Thai Culture and Food Festival is a partner event of the Melbourne Food & Wine festival.
The Festival also celebrated Cultural Diversity Week.
The Festival was also pleased to be able to support the bushfire impacted region of Daylesford and the local CFA units who attended the Festival on the day.
The Festival has in the past attracted more than 40,000 visitors. Its a family event with free entry!
The Singha Beer Garden was also part of the Viva Victoria Festival on Saturday 21 March 2009.
